NEP 2020 Overview

As per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), when students continue with the fourth year of the B.A. program, they are awarded a higher degree of B.A. (Honours) with Research. This structure provides greater academic depth and research exposure.

After completing the Honours degree, students may complete their post-graduation degree (M.A.) in just one year. In addition, they may also opt for Ph.D. directly without completing post-graduation, as per prevailing regulations.
